Andrew Vinson was born and raised in Havana, Florida, one of six kids and his father’s only son. As a kid, he grew up poor, in a trailer, homeschooled, and often going to work construction with his father. He formed a deep love for music and at the age of 11 got his first cheap acoustic guitar and began learning. By the age of 14, Andrew joined his first band and began playing shows performing the songs he had written.
He gravitated towards punk rock and metal in his early music career. He was in multiple bands, playing hundreds of shows across the southeast. Andrew’s last band ended in 2016 when he began focusing on writing songs on his acoustic guitar. Andrew would go on to work with Lee Dyess at Earthsound Recording (Against Me, Charlie Crockett, Mayday Parade) for multiple EP’s throughout the years. Andrew self booked several acoustic tours across the country traveling in a Ford Econoline van with his wife.
Andrew started a family and a few years later became a Firefighter/EMT. However, music was always on his mind and in his heart. He continued writing and recording his songs.
Now Andrew Vinson is working towards becoming a full time singer songwriter. Andrew wrapped up recording his first full length record this spring and is preparing to release it in late summer 2025. Andrew has lived multiple lives compared to most and has no intention of slowing down.
